Martin Řepa

Martin is a lecturer on subjects relating to economic and financial topics and consultant in the field of entrepreneurial skills.
Previous experience and work:
Martin graduated from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at CTU in Prague, in the Department of Economics and Management. He also attended a study program for teaching professional subjects at the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies in Prague. He has been active in the area of corporate finance since 1996. Additionally, he has worked at ČEZ, ABB, Alcatel and Eli Lilly, where, in various financial positions, he acquired rich experience in the segments of energy, industrial automation, telecommunications and the pharmaceutical industry.
For several years he dedicated himself to business in the area of producing documentary and educational films to experience the entire life cycle of a product “firsthand”, from its development, production, through sales and marketing as well as administration and management. In addition to his lecturing activities, he currently works as a business analyst for the company Pears Health Cyber. This enables him to share not only his professional know-how, but also, above all, his own practical experience.
As a great admirer of Tomáš Bata, he always strives to return “thought to people and drudgery to machines”, to help everyone become an “entrepreneur in his workplace” and so to offer “the best quality for the lowest prices”, because in the end it always applies that “the customer is king”. And it is these principles he honors during his seminars.
Specialization:
Martin strives to interconnect “the best of” the financial management of multinational corporations with the good common sense of small entrepreneurs. That is why he comes back to the roots of Baťa style entrepreneurship, and does not make a science of economics and finance. In his courses and seminars he likes to use illustrative examples from everyday life, because he is convinced that understanding fundamental principles is more important than knowing hundreds of professional terms and definitions. His aim is not “just” teaching, but rather to lead students to the point where they figure things out themselves.
